The Out of Africa Annual Festival forms an integral part of the Cultural Program, which serves to give artists the opportunity to perform on an International platform. The program seeks to minimise isolation, and promote unity through cultural diversity. It also promotes the embracement of different cultures, through the arts, education, and sport.
Together we want to Build Cultural & Artistic Programs and foster the educational, recreational, social and cultural interests of the community to form friendships amongst students to have exchange program/s either holidays or a week at each other’s school to experience the cultures
An awareness display stall created lots of interest from the public which resulted in huge donations in kind:
HANLI VAN STADEN, South African ex patriot, donated 400 metres of sheeting/childrens material, cottons, zips, tapes etc. pictured below. She will also be sourcing a donation of sports equipment for the Trust.
At the farewell party the night before we left Australia to return to South Africa PAUL JACOBS, South African ex patriot of Cape Town and volunteer at the Out of Africa Festival was so excited to discover that he could donate upholstery material valued at AUD$10,000 to the IGM Trust. It was too late to arrange a display and photograph.
We now seeking a sponsor to freight the donated materials to South Africa.
We were also able to visit Sydney, Gold Coast and Noosa and create awareness for IGM Trust where we met lots of South African ex patriots who are willing and committed to do fundraising events to support the IGM Trust.
